BUP extended their invitation to Dr Ata and Dr Wayne Fallon, former Associate Dean International of the School of Business, to visit BUP while attending the Education Expo in Dhaka in February 2019.  As a follow up of this visit, further communication on details of the collaboration were worked out with the support from concerned academics of WSU School of Business and WSU International office. In July 2019 Associate Professor Linda Taylor, Pro-Vice Chancellor, International WSU invited the BUP delegate to visit WSU. Following the invitation, the high-level delegate is visiting WSU. Accordingly, the MoU was signed on 15 October 2019 at the historic Whitlam Institute in the Western Sydney University Parramatta South Campus.

The purpose of this MoU is to facilitate educational opportunities for students and formalise academic collaboration and cooperation, encompassing: credit Transfer/Articulation arrangement of Undergraduates and Post-Graduate Students; develop a Student Mobility Program (i.e. Study Abroad), short-term program and cultural experience; conduct a short course for faculty development, led primarily by Western Sydney University; exchange of information, teaching materials, technological and scientific publications in fields of mutual interest; joint seminars/workshops involving faculty and students; conduct and exchange of researcher(s) in the fields of mutual interest and opportunities for further collaboration in the future.

Besides signing the MoU, the delegate had exclusive meeting with the WSU Dean of Graduate Studies (Innovation and Policy), Professor Caroline Smith, academics of the WSU School of Business, academics of the School of Computing, Engineering and Mathematic, and had morning tea with Bangladeshi students studying at the Western Sydney University.
